GeoCities now supports web forms, and send me the result via email. Do I still need Mailto Converter if I live in the GeoCities?
Yes, sometimes. I still uses MailtoConverter, for example. It's much easier to read a merged file of all results, than reading a lot of single emails. Also, I can change the delimiters and that kind of stuff, which makes it possible to use it in a datebase or similar. (www.geocities.com is a free web server where I have all my pages, together with thousands of other peoples around the world. It is one of the 20 most visited sites on the net.)
How do I save all files in the clipboard?
If you save the text in the clipboard, only the last converted file will be kept in it. To save all files in the clipboard, choose 'Combined file' and continiue in the Combined settings dialog.
Can I merge the text with an existing file?
Sometimes, it can be useful to merge the text with an existing file. I do it, for example. I've told Eudora, which I use for email, to save all attacments in a folder named ' Forms'. I then convert this folder in Mailto Converter. The program deletes the handled files and save the result in a new one which I put in the same folder. Next time I use the program, the saved file will be converted as the others. The result will be a merged file containing all converted files.
Some formresults are not saved as attachments. Why?
Most browsers, including Netscape, will send the result as an attachment. Some browsers (AOL, for example) will put the code inside the mail instead, very stupid.. I use to open every incoming mail in Eudora to uncheck the 'unread' sign and to make sure it has saved the code as an attchment. If not, I use 'Save as...' in the menu to save it.
I've set the 'Save titles' option off, but there's still delimiters left in the text. Why?
If you want to remove the titles (object names) from the result, you should leave the title separator field empty, since the text will look more readable then. Otherwise, the title delimiter will appear, but not the title.
What do I get if I pay the shareware?
Please read the enclosed "Shareware license" document, it will tell you everuthing you need to know. When you've used this program for a while, an annoying shareware reminder dialog will popup before you quit it until you've paid the shareware fee.
What other stuff have you made?
Currently, there are four internet-related programs. HTML Vocabulary is a small HTML tags library. HTML LinkChecker scan you documents for broken links and missing anchors, and Calles Eudora Plugins adds some features to the email client Eudora. I would like some special features. Can you help?
If you pay the shareware fee, I'd be glad to write a special version for your needs. It can be written specially for your form, auto-reply, write a new HTML file or whatever. First, pay the shareware. Then we can talk about it!
